I think that’s a good plan. My kids are younger. I know that when they become school age, the technology is going to be a bigger battle.

We reward them an hour of Ipad or tv after they completed all their homework. We find that more than an hour of Ipad or TV is negative to their behavior. We take away the iPad for a few days as a detox if we find they get too addicted.

I fight with my 2 year old to get OFF the iPHONE or iPad, meanwhile I’m throwing both at Charlie because that is so much where his communication and learning skills come from. I think it’s just going to be different for every kid…which is why parenting “rules” are silly in the first place!

YOU do YOU. You know your kids and you know how you want to raise them, and you know they will turn out regardless of a little ice cream bribery or late night iPad session (essential oils and lotion rubs? who does that?). Technology is an interesting one, though, now that I think about it. I often wonder how much technology young children are using these days. I know there has got to be a lot of great benefits – learning apps etc – though there can be a lot of distraction elements too. Must be a conscious thing for any parents to find the balance.

YES. God made us their parents for a reason! WE do know what’s best for them. my goal is happy, healthy and loved…if I can make them feel this, then I’m good Forget the rest. : )

Everyone’s so quick to judge if you parent differently then them. My friend and I were just talking about this! Each kid needs something different and God made us their parents for a reason as we can give them what they need! I’m all for throwing rules out the window and doing what is best for you and your children! Good one!
