]]>Yes, it does feel unfair to label it discrimination if they literally cannot fund the special needs services (which are VERY expensive). I think schools that qualify for the “choice scholarship” should also get government funding for those specific services that would keep them up to par with the public schools. Of course, that gets very complicated.
]]>But on the other hand, while I support school choice where possible, I think it needs to be done with a very careful hand to make sure that the public options that are already available to EVERYONE, especially those that serve Special needs, aren’t harmed in the process.
