Thank you for sharing your story, Kate! It’s crazy how you can feel so “apart” from everyone else during/after infertility. It changes you into a person who (at least in my case) is much more introspective, but on my good days also more appreciative of what I have.

I haven’t been through exactly the same thing, but a lot of what you wrote resonated with me so much. We struggled with miscarriages, infertility – did IUIs (failed), IVF (how we got our twins). I remember having so much fear when I was finally pregnant, so scared at every US. And I remember being out with my husband before we were pregnant but after miscarriages – thinking we just look like a normal couple to everyone else, but no one knew how much we were suffering after losing 2 babies and not being able to conceive. I love how you said it’s a life story…so true. These things are very tough on a marriage, as I’m sure you know, and it’s always a testimony when a couple sticks it out – for better or worse. Thanks again for sharing your story. 🙂
