Our children’s disabilities may be different but the life long learning is the same. Thank you for sharing on Grace and Truth. I look forward to seeing more of your posts.

But our children teach us what life is all about.” Reading this post this morning made me smile and reminded me of the little wooden sign I gifted my daughter with. You are beautiful Jamie!! God bless you! ❤

I think it’s scary for anyone on the outside when you are not used to it. It takes exposure and experience to get comfortable with anyone who is different from us. My church runs something called “Special Saturday” from 9-11:30 once a month and parents can drop their kids off for free and each kid is paired with a volunteer and it is amazing! The kids love it and the parents get a tiny rest period!

The first time was scary for me, but I fell in love and the teachers fell in love with me. I am so tired on those days, and I pray for parents with special needs kids because it’s more than a 24/7 job.

I remember those diapers. We had a daughter born 2 months early who stayed in NICU longer than 2 months.
