When the Parent is the Bully

This happened. It shouldn’t have. But it did. As the parent of a special needs child, you brace yourself for the bullying. Difference draws attention and not all of that attention is positive. But I did not expect it at the grocery store with my son and from another mother. I did not handle it well. I did not advocate as I should have. Shock can throw you off your game. But I’m sharing now on Her View From Home in the hopes that you can be an advocate when the time calls for it.
